Howard Tullman, the CEO of 1871, the largest tech incubator in the United States, stopped by the studio to talk with Tom and Tony.

Howard presented Tom with a special logo for Thanksgiving. The discussion then turned to Amazon. Everyone is aware of the large amount of sales they generate. Fewer people are aware of the computer services business, including cloud computing. Howard stated that they are running close to half the [US federal] government’s computers.

Facebook was named the largest disruptor. Mark Zuckerberg’s vision was hailed. Many questioned his purchase of Instagram and Whats App, especially the amount paid, but the acquisitions are now looking smart.

Howard showed his new iPad Pro to the guys. This led to a discussion about the App Store. There were 45,000 new apps submitted last month. Most apps see scant attention and downloads are dominated by the top ten pages.
