With a normal distribution, there is perfect symmetry on both sides of the mean. But, in a skewed distribution, there is very much an asymmetry on both sides of the mean. Today, we take a look at both positive skew and negative skew, and we examine how the statistics change for these distributions. Specifically, we hone in on negative skew because that is the type of asymmetry that we have seen in the market over the years.
