Papa Cenar is the brainchild of Branko Palikuca. The restaurant is a neighborhood eatery inspired by the romantic spirit of the grand cafés of Europe. Branko is a Serbian immigrant who arrived in Chicago in 1988. He started as a dishwasher at a fast-food restaurant before moving on to the fine dining environment of Chicago’s University Club. He is now the owner of the Gemstone Cafe Group, consisting of 5 restaurants in the Chicagoland area. Anna Henscey is the Wine and Beverage aficionado, earning certificates from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust.
