One Man To Trump Them All | Truth or Skepticism

Dec 18, 2015

By: Mike Butler

Truth Or Skepticism is back, and so is Scott Sheridan! Scott Sheridan & Dylan Ratigan tackle some interesting topics in this segment, from weather and commodities to the presidential race and it’s effect on the market. We’ll highlight each section below, but be sure to check out the full video here!

Generally when the Fed raises rates once, they’re going to raise them 5, 6, 7 more times.
— Dylan Ratigan

Scott & Dylan discuss what the rate hike really means for the market. So far it seems like a lot of uncertainty with the swings in each market. A future rate target seems to be set, but how will it effect volatility and trading volume?

Trump is so abrasive...he truly says whatever it is that he wants to say...it’s great TV.
— Scott Sheridan

The race for the next presidency is upon us, and whether we like it or not, this will most likely have an effect on the market. Scott believes this will bring more volatility.

Dylan & Scott talk about how weather impacts commodities, and more importantly, businesses that rely on things like cold weather. Scott highlights ski towns and how reliant they are on cold weather for snow in this discussion.

I don’t have a strong opinion directionally right now.
— Scott Sheridan

Dylan picks Scott’s brain on overall market conditions. Scott reflects on a year that has left the S&P 500 virtually unchanged, and hopes for future volatility coming into 2016.
